Quinta Bela São Tiago was originally a traditional Madeiran Manor House

The charming 4-star hotel Quinta Bela São Tiago was originally a traditional Madeiran Manor House built in 1834. It became the residence of an important family in what was one of the noblest districts of Funchal in the late 19th century. The Quinta remained the residence of the vice-governor of Madeira until early 20th century.

The manor house and its extensive gardens have been carefully restored to create a paradise right in the heart of this lovely old district.

Although the original building has been added to, the architectural splendour can still be appreciated. The elegant extension is in keeping with the original style enhancing the modern comforts to be found in this luxurious hotel.
